• What is the SafeSport Policy for Invictus Gymnastics?

As a USAG Member Club, Invictus Gymnastics follows all guidelines and mandates per the US Center for SafeSport and USA Gymnastics. More specifically, we:

    • Require all staff and volunteers to complete the USAG Safe Sport Policies Court.
    • Require all staff, volunteers, or anyone who may have "regular contact and authority" over minor athletes to pass a background check.
    • Require all staff to be certified through the US Center for Safe Sport.
    • Require any athletes 17 1/2 years or older to complete Safe Sport training.
    • Require written consent from a parent or legal guardian for all one-on-one interactions.
    • Provide our athletes, staff, and parents with written access to the USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy.
    • Have a designated Safety Champion to serve as the liaison between USA Gymnastics and Invictus Gymnastics on matters related to safety. To learn more about the role of our Safety Champion, click here.

  • How can I make a report of suspected sexual misconduct?

Any suspected sexual misconduct should be reported to the local authorities and the US Center for SafeSport immediately

  • How can I report suspected emotional misconduct, physical misconduct, bullying, or harassment?

If you suspect that someone under the jurisdiction of USA Gymnastics has committed misconduct as described in the SafeSport Code or USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy it is important to report it.

You can make the report using the USA Gymnastics online portal, which can be found here.

It is also important to alert club management if you suspect misconduct by a staff member so that we may determine an immediate course of action.

  • I am not sure if my concern should be reported. How can I find out more information?

If you are unsure if your concern is reportable under the SafeSport Code or USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy, it is best to report your concern anyway and allow either the US Center for SafeSport or USA Gymnastics to determine the next course of action. You can reach out to the Safe Sport department to set up a time to discuss your concern by emailing: safesportpolicy@usagym.org.
